The Medicine Buddha Puja is a traditional practice in Tibetan Buddhism and consists of prayers and meditation/visualization of the Medicine Buddha. We will conduct this on this day of Chotrul Duchen which is the last of the days of miracles that follow Losar (Tibetan New Year).

The benefits of Medicine Buddha Practice

Medicine Buddha puja is beneficial for mental and physical healing and world peace. This puja is especially helpful for those who are experiencing physical or mental illness or those who have recently passed away. By doing this practice you create positive merits for yourself, others, and the center. You can read more about the benefits of Medicine Buddha Mantra and Practice here.

About the session

As there will be no teaching/explanation about the practice within the actual session, it is mainlymeant for those we are already familiar with traditional practices and prayers within Tibetan Buddhism. However, you are very welcome to attend even if you are not familiar with these practices. You can attend at whatever level suits you, participate in the whole practice or just participate in whatever part of the practice makes sense to you and listen in/observe the rest.

At the end of the practice, we dedicate the positive energy created for the benefit of those who have recently died, are ill, are suffering or in some other way needs support. If you would like to add anyone to the dedication list, please email Maria Damsholt (see contact information below). Anyone can add someone to the dedication list, also if you don’t participate in the session.
