Projects

The Center was founded by Lise Lotte Brooks and Maria Damsholt in 1996 after meeting with LamaZopa Rinpoche at Jamyang Centre in London that year. Rinpoche liked the idea of a Center in Copenhagen, Denmark and gave the burgeoning group a name: Tong-nyi Nying-je Ling, the Center for Wisdom and Compassion.

Lise Lotte and Maria founded two sister projects at the same time:

Center for Concious Living and Dying

Guided by Maria Damsholt, CBLD offers a volunteer hospice service which has been very active and helped numerous people to a peaceful passing.

Dharma Wisdom Publishing House

Guided by Lise Lotte Brooks, Dharma Visdom Forlaget has a team of volunteers that work together to translate selected teachings and books into Danish, and have five books to offer currently, with one very new one Meditation for Børn on the way!
