Mindfulness is the aware, balanced acceptance
of the present experience.
It isn’t more complicated than that.
It is opening to or receiving the present moment,
pleasant or unpleasant, just as it is,
without either clinging to it or rejecting it.
Observing the nature and workings of mind through meditation opens us to a deeper sense of clarity, acceptance and love. On Tuesday evenings, Stephan will guide us through different types of meditation that will bring increased happiness and peace in our daily lives.
You do not need to have experience to participate, and are welcome to drop in and try it out for an evening, but be careful! you might just become a regular
Meditation will be guided in English.

Mindfulness is an invitation to slow down and shift from the Doing to the Being mode. Allowing yourself to be in a place without pressure supported by the guidance of the course leaders and the presence of the group. Together we will explore how to rest in the very nature of your being, in what is sometimes called the natural state, original mind, pure awareness, no mind, or simply emptiness.
You will be introduced to simple methods to be more at ease with your feelings and disturbing thoughts. You will explore ways to me more relaxed with the challenges of stress, fear, sadness and insecurity.
The emphasis is on how to bring this compassionate space into our daily life and our relationships. There will be periods of shared silence, dialogs and simple, playful exercises.
The course will help you to establish or renew a Mindfulness practice which suits your lifestyle without becoming an extra burden.
This two month course integrates 25 years of practice in different spiritual traditions with western forms of therapy.

Dreams are a significant part of our lives. As an honest and precise mirror of our inner and social life they reflect how we relate to ourselves and others. This sacred mirror provides spiritual blessings, visions, and guidance.
Lucid Dreaming is the ability to be aware while dreaming and to act from that awareness. To turn around and face the beast. To set up a meeting with your mentor. It is a powerful transformative practice.
Cultivating this innate ability to wake up within the dream can help you fast-forward spiritual and social growth:
- Unlock aspirations and potentials
- Realize the transparent, dream-like nature of all experiences
- Experience direct encounters with your “shadows”
In this course we will increase the probability to become lucid dreamers. Research shows that two main factors are at play:
- Having a daily mindfulness practice
- Honoring dreams
During the course we work with methods from the Tibetan Dream Yoga and western creative group dreamwork.
The daily practice which you will learn comprise:
- Daytime practice, designed to help us recognize the dreamlike nature of all existence and prepare us to experience dreams as vividly as waking activities
- Morning wake-up practices that help us recall dreams, and confirm our determination to recall more
- Nighttime practice, which prepares the ground for lucid dreaming
To help you get started you will receive a CD with guided meditations.

For an hour of meditation in the gap between work and home we will be nothing but aware and mindful.
Do nothing, have no plans, don’t ponder anything: Just see, hear, feel, observe. Whatever arises – don’t do anything, just observe. We will work with a guided meditation, starting with short relaxing exercises, then training in being aware and mindful, and ending with a dedication and passing on of merit.
Afterwards we will endeavour to take this awareness into everyday life, at home as well as at work.

Meditating LGBT people in Copenhagen are found in many, mostly Buddhist, groups. We would like to create a place where we can get together across all the schools of thought and share the experiences that are unique to our situation. Meetings with meditation, discussion, and a meal for those who have time afterwards.
